Meal Prep 1

This week, I have prepared my meal prep šŸ„˜šŸ² for Monday through Friday. Ever since TikTok was created, I have seen so many videos online about meal prepping. At first, I felt weird about it because, first of all, how can someone eat the same meal they have prepared over and over again? Not only that, but it grosses me out thinking about reheating my food because I like mine fresh. Ever since I had my own apartment (sophomore year), I always find it so difficult to decide what to eat. In addition, the fact that I am a broke college student means I have to figure out something so I can support myself financially.

TikTok has taught me so muchā€”not only how to find cheaper products online, where to shop for good clothes, how to organize your room, clean your house, etc.ā€”but I have also found TikTok helpful for managing budgeting when it comes to meal prepping. I started meal prepping my junior year of college. I remember how I used to say to myself, "I can't cook," but it's honestly just the fact that I didn't know where to start and what to cook.

My first meal prep ever was "overnight oats." I also made a TikTok video about it, which, if you follow me there, feel free to watch again :) I will not lieā€”I did not eat all of those. I forced myself because I didn't want to waste them. Ever since then, I started realizing how healthy it was for me, how cheap it was, and how much money I saved so I tried my best to find the right food to make.

For this week, I have prepared "beef tacos with a side of zucchini and potatoes." Then, for the "overnight oats," I have prepared them with oats, Greek yogurt, Nutella (for taste), and chia seeds.

Feel free to recommend to me in the comment below what I should meal prep. For my next post, I will give the rundown of what ingredients and what I do to prepare them šŸ’–

  2. I totally understand the unsure thoughts about being able to the same meal for a couple of times, it's totally cool how you're pushing yourself to really stick to it.

  4. Loving your meal prepping blog so far! This is definitely something that I want to get into myself, and will most likely be starting once I begin to live in my off-campus house next semester. I think this is such a great way to have meals already taken care of and ready to go when us college students are constantly busy or running around to different places. Looking forward to more of your posts!
