Meal Prep 1
TikTok has taught me so muchānot only how to find cheaper products online, where to shop for good clothes, how to organize your room, clean your house, etc.ābut I have also found TikTok helpful for managing budgeting when it comes to meal prepping. I started meal prepping my junior year of college. I remember how I used to say to myself, "I can't cook," but it's honestly just the fact that I didn't know where to start and what to cook.
My first meal prep ever was "overnight oats." I also made a TikTok video about it, which, if you follow me there, feel free to watch again :) I will not lieāI did not eat all of those. I forced myself because I didn't want to waste them. Ever since then, I started realizing how healthy it was for me, how cheap it was, and how much money I saved so I tried my best to find the right food to make.
For this week, I have prepared "beef tacos with a side of zucchini and potatoes." Then, for the "overnight oats," I have prepared them with oats, Greek yogurt, Nutella (for taste), and chia seeds.
Feel free to recommend to me in the comment below what I should meal prep. For my next post, I will give the rundown of what ingredients and what I do to prepare them š
Love this! Meal prepping can be such a game-changer, especially for saving money and staying on track. Honestly, this is inspiring me to start meal prepping too because I always struggle with figuring out what to eat during the week. Canāt wait to see your next post with the details!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand the unsure thoughts about being able to the same meal for a couple of times, it's totally cool how you're pushing yourself to really stick to it.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing amazing. Meal prepping is such a great way to stay healthy and save money, especially as a busy college student! Keep pushing through, and donāt forget how far youāve come from saying, "I can't cook," to prepping full meals and inspiring others!
ReplyDeleteLoving your meal prepping blog so far! This is definitely something that I want to get into myself, and will most likely be starting once I begin to live in my off-campus house next semester. I think this is such a great way to have meals already taken care of and ready to go when us college students are constantly busy or running around to different places. Looking forward to more of your posts!
