π Rating Coffee Shops☕️ ✨
First of all, I could never focus or be productive while sitting in my bedroom on my laptop all day. π΅π« I get distracted too easily, so I prefer to go somewhere that helps me focus, put my headphones on π§, and get my work done. Ever since I started college, my entire work routine has changed—including how I complete assignments, study for exams π, and tackle projects.
So, let's get into it! π
Here are my Top 5 Coffee Shops around Peoria:
π₯ Top 5: CxT Roasting Company at Keller Station
I had a meeting and an interview here with a small business owner who wanted me to manage their social media accounts. π± The place was very welcoming, and the aesthetic was great. ✨ My only concern was the price—like most coffee shops, it was on the expensive side. The vibe here was interesting because I felt like I was surrounded by professionals with full-time jobs π©π», which made me feel more productive.
π₯ Top 4: Starbucks
My go-to coffee shop during my freshman year of college! π This was the typical spot to meet up with friends π―♀️, customize our coffee drinks and refreshers πΉ, and hang out. I also loved grabbing coffee here in the mornings when I had my babysitting job because I could order ahead on my phone π², which was super convenient. However, the place can get overcrowded, and sometimes it still makes me feel like a freshman, so I don’t go as often unless my friends want to.
π₯ Top 3: Intuition
This coffee shop made my top three not only because it’s only a mile from my house π‘, but also because of the friendly staff. I knew someone who worked there, and she was amazing! π Although I don’t go as often anymore, I had to include it because of the atmosphere, convenient location, and great service.
π₯ Top 2: Zion Coffee Bar
Zion takes the second spot for several reasons:
- It’s super popular among college students. π
- The staff is very friendly. π
- It has one of the best locations of any coffee shop. π
- Their marketing is top-tier—they have the best social media presence among all the coffee shops on this list. π’
The atmosphere is amazing, and the coffee is great. ☕️✨ It is on the pricier side πΈ, which is why I ranked it second, but overall, I’ve had great experiences here and always manage to finish a lot of work on time. ✅
π Top 1: Leaves and Beans (Peoria Heights)
My absolute favorite coffee shop! π Here’s why:
- The coffee is top-tier. ☕️π₯ I always enjoy my drinks here!
- The atmosphere is cozy and homey. π‘✨ It has a welcoming vibe that makes me want to stay for hours, and honestly, I could probably take a nap there. π΄
- It’s affordable! π° The prices are reasonable, and their rewards program keeps me coming back. π³
☕️ Honorable Mentions:
If you’re looking for more coffee spots, here are some others I’ve tried:
- Dang at Main π
- River Kitty CafΓ©
- Ardor Breads and Provisions π₯
- Reverence
- CafΓ© Santa Rosa πΉ
- Scooter’s Coffee π☕️

CXT is the best no doubt. I've seriously had 100+ meetings there. I'm pretty easy going though - Iced black coffee, tables to meet, and cheap. That is what I like about CXT.
