Week 8: For My Matcha Lovers! πŸ΅πŸ’š

Talking About Matcha 🍡

Can we talk about matcha? It’s one of those things that people either love or hate. For my Week 8 blog post, I wanted to dive into the topic of matcha, where it comes from, why people love it, and its rise in popularity.

Where does matcha come from? 🌿
Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves. It originates from East Asia, particularly within Japanese culture, where it has been a staple for centuries. The process of making matcha is unique, as the leaves are shaded before harvesting, which enhances their flavor and nutritional profile.

Why do people love matcha? πŸ’š
If you spend time on TikTok, you’ve probably seen influencers, small business owners, or even everyday coffee lovers posting their daily matcha rituals, whether it’s part of their "Get Ready With Me" routine or just a way to start the day. Matcha is more than just a drink; it’s a lifestyle, with countless recipes and ways to enjoy it.

I recently came across a TikTok video from a matcha café owner, and I instantly fell in love with the content. Accounts like Brew Story Coffee Roastery, Okayama Kokbo Bakery, and others have been making waves on TikTok, showcasing the versatility of matcha and its endless possibilities. 🌟

Matcha cafΓ©s have exploded in popularity, especially since TikTok was created in 2016. The app has played a huge role in helping matcha gain viral attention, with users creating creative and engaging videos that highlight everything from matcha lattes to desserts and unique blends. πŸŽ₯✨

  2. I definitely need to try matcha again! I had it a few times in high school and kind of forgot about it since, but every time I see someone with a matcha it always looks so good! Maybe I'll try a matcha order from Starbucks for one of my blog posts :) Thanks for sharing!

  3. There are a lot of coffee posts on blogs in this class. I don't know what matcha is and I will probably never try it but it looks cool. I just cant drink anything that is green unless it is beer on St. Patricks day.
